2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee The Most Advanced Jeep

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee – is probably best dubbed as an experience in “Jeep Lite.” Meanwhile, a car equipped with new engines, the long-anticipated 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar, our Grand Cherokee was missing something rather important. Based on the M-Class Mercedes-Benz architecture, a fourth-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2 to those who know) is by far the most advanced Jeep mainstay ever hit the market.

Options and models run gamut, from 4 × 2 base Laredo model with 3.6 liter V6 (like our tester) to 4 × 4, 5.7-liter V8-powered Overlands with high-adjustable air suspension, advanced multi-mode traction control and luxuries such as Range Rover.

The Grand Cherokee was introduced to much fanfare as a substitute for Jeep Cherokee 1993 to respectable, but soon established itself as a victim is able to stand off against the premium luxury SUV. Time was not kind to the Grand Cherokee in 2005 the third generation of its model year, however, who suffered from major cost cutting very diluted his appeal upscale.

Jeep says, but things are back on track for 2011. A now-defunct relationship with DaimlerChrysler of Germany gave access to a range of platforms and technologies in exchange for, well, almost everything in Auburn Hills. Namely, cash reserves, but it would not surprise us if the Germans looted all the furniture, clocks and hot water heaters in Michigan wide headquarters of Chrysler.

Off-road capable SUV with the rapid fall of the market, but our tester 4 × 2 is probably better suited for crossover rival, anyway. If you want to go the way - means that you have selected 4 × 4 Grand Cherokee - Cross store Toyota 4Runner, Nissan Xterra and Land Rover, LR4.

But if you're a pavement pounder interested in a high seating position and decent cargo space, put the Grand Cherokee Laredo like our tester against the Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Edge, Kia Sorento and Toyota Highlander.

4 × 2 we offer the Grand Cherokee Laredo is mild, but still tilt the scales at around £ 4470. That fat does not help curb heavy acceleration, although we found a new V6 will be more capable of moving the Grand Cherokee around.

Rating 290 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 260 lb-ft. torque at 4800 rpm, we know this engine has more power to give. The newly-announced 2011 Dodge Challenger's Pentastar V6 boasts 305 horsepower, for example.

Past the highway requires kickdown from the Mercedes-sourced five-speed automatic (okay, even in the era of six-speed), but in-town driving is rare to accelerate above 3000 rpm.

V6 is smooth and quiet, almost no vibration transmission into the cabin and offers a somewhat high-rpm snarl. If there is, we miss muttered from the Hemi V8 is optional.

But we certainly did not miss when it comes to visit thirsty V8 petrol pump. Our tester returned a solid 23.5 mpg on the highway trek 250 kilometers and never dropped below 18 mpg in urban slogging. That hair above the EPA estimates 16 mpg city and 23 highway mpg.

But where we were very impressed with the steering wheel is the Grand Cherokee. Grand Cherokee had previously been entertaining on the sidewalk, especially thanks to the relative proportion of trim, but the 2011 adds responsive, smooth steering with the package. Surprisingly, the Grand Cherokee provides more feedback and response is faster than its kissing cousin, the M-Class. It was an absolute blast to throw through the byways of our favorite curvy two-lane, even with soft-riding tires. A sports car does not, but the line between off-roaders and pavement pounder getting blurrier.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 2012 Exclusive Review

Recently launched a pretty horrendous debut in 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee last week, now other news, we just received official sketches depict what appears to be a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. JeepGrand 2012 Cherokee will get a 6.4 liter hemi crate.

We may see revolutionary 6.4 liter HEMI V8 engine in other Chrysler SRT8 Models like 2011 Dodge charger or 2011 Dodge Challenger, which might release at the end of this year or beginning of next year. There might be possibility of no alteration for standard models of 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So we may see 3.6L Pentastar V6 in those models and 5 speed automatic transmissions. However, recent coalition between Fiat and Chrysler may result better performances.

The biggest news we received is high will receive a 392 Jeep po 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with anywhere between 505-525 horsepower and burning tires at around 510 pounds-feet of torque, all driven by the AWD system was revised. 392 Hemi has also been rumored to appear in another 2010 SRT8 models, but we're guessing it will arrive first at mid-cycle refresh for both the Challenger and Charger in 2011.

When styling is concerned the SRT8 model of 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee will come with sturdy 5 spoke wheels, subtle body kit, sporty suspension. It is seems that despite company is passing through tough situation but it will not comprise with SRT8 Section which is ultimate power house of the company. The Vehicle will pull up 0-60 in 5 seconds.

If all the world like us, then HELL YEAH! We entered a big-time gossip territory here, but there is a glimmer of hope for both the Jeep and SRT enthusiasts together. We have heard from sources within Chrysler that something has been humming along quietly in the garage as the SRT engineers worked hard to develop a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 as a 2012 model.

If the sketch above is anything to go by, 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 will be fine with beasts lowered, sporty suspension, fat five-spoke SRT wheels, larger diameter rotors with multi-piston calipers grippy, revised front and rear fascias, functional cold air induction hood hood and a larger spoiler at the rear. We like what we see, but like GM performance shop, we have to wait and see whether or not Chrysler could raise cash to put out another answer to a question nobody really asked.

About pricing details the SRT8 2012 Grand Cherokee will costs approx $49,000. However company hasn’t made any official confirmation. The releasing date is not officially announced by the company, but it is likely to be released at the time of autumn 2011.

More adventurer 2011 model Jeep Patriot Effectively retouched

More adventurer 2011 model Jeep Patriot Effectively retouched
This is one of the nicest compact SUVs on the market, but also one that is most forgotten (133 sales in 2009) and Jeep take the approach of some great shows to unveil the restyled version of this SUV along 4.40 m

The Jeep designers have mostly reworked the rear bumper spoiler, giving it a more "adventurer" owing mainly to the fact that the bottom of said bumper is plastic raw (less fragile than the painted version), available at the new Central Fog, somewhat in the spirit of what is available on the Wrangler. All round box is now protected by a black patch that boosts a little line of SUVs.

The Jeep engineers seems he did a great job at the undercarriage and the quality of the road holding of the Patriot is said to be more precise, more dynamic because of its new suspension but also a direction recalibrated . The Jeep Patriot also benefits from a new palette of colors and a new range of alloy wheels in 17 inches. The system "Hill Control" for the descent of the Patriot comes as a further multiplication of the BVM and the possibility to leave the couple to 50/50 front and rear.

Another novelty is to be found in the cockpit that offers us a new dashboard, with plastics more opulent, and rounding a more flattering look for passengers. The driver will find pleasure in a nice three-spoke multifunction steering wheel to replace the current model easily worthy of a Chrysler in the early 90's!

In terms of news, we find a cruise control, new seats that finally seem comfortable

Jeep Storm Detroit Renegade Hybrid Concept

Jeep Storm Detroit Renegade Hybrid Concept

Jeep Storm Detroit Renegade Hybrid ConceptJeep Storm Detroit Renegade Hybrid Concept

Starring alongside what become the rather more conservative Chrysler and Dodge concept vehicles next to Jeep’s Renegade Hybrid Vehicle last January’s Detroit Auto Show is a concept car designed from the outset to turn around heads as much as global warming.

This is a compact, sports concept employing weight-saving strategies and an array of drivetrain technologies to produce an eco-Jeep worthy of its nameplate. Packing the combination of a lithium-ion battery pack, electric motors and a Bluetec diesel engine, the Jeep Renegade is a concept whose strength lies in numbers: namely the 110 mpg fuel consumption figure that Chrysler expects it to return. Four-wheel-drive capability is assisted through dual electric motors with an 85 kW total output which are each dedicated to an axle.

To aid achieving such impressive fuel economy, an aluminium frame reduces weight, while stylish but lightweight features such as a cut-down windshield, roll bar, openings in the door panels and a hose-out interior too aid both function and form. Stay tuned for more information to follow shortly ahead of the concept’s debut at Detroit early next year. Until then, stay in the know for all things eco-friendly on our green category page.
