2010 Chevrolet Corvette C6.R GT2
Chevrolet will be the next generation of the Corvette C6.R in Mid-Ohio Sports automobile coursework on 6-8 August at the trials of the new race automobile and limited. The latest version of the Corvette C6.R will be put to the check when they finally compete in the GT2 class for the last two rounds of the 2009 American Le Mans Series.
For the past 8 years, Corvette Racing GT1 category dominated the American Le Mans Series. Since they started the race won spec Corvette in the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and since 2005 have been in a match against the C6.R cars world wide tourism carmaker Aston Martin. For 2009 the factory in the efforts of the race has decided to increase in the GT2 category with the goal to compete with other cars in the same way that the model of production in competition with exhibition spaces.
The Corvette racing cars will be with 6.0 liter GM small block, based on the 7.0 liter as LS7.R powered outgoing GT1 version. The diameter of the number of air-mandated gear was from 30.6 mm to 28.6 mm, making the power of the engine with a powerful 590 HP to slightly more conservative 470 HP. Let us hope that the Corvette Racing engineers are capable of new tricks for the optimal use of the V8 buttons, to a more efficient production, sports cars in the future.
